About Frank Zappa
It is hard to decide which is more amazing, that Frank Zappa recorded over sixty albums in his career (Zappa passed away in 1993, only 52 years old) or that he produced almost every one of them himself. In his career, productive though not commercially successful usually, Frank Zappa did win awards and recognition, not only from fellow musicians (Jimi Hendrix is said to have learned to use Wah Wah effects from Zappa) but also from the industry, receiving a Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental Performance in 1988.
